Chapter 5 Exponential and Logarithmic Functions

In Chapter 4 we studied functions of the form [latex]f(x) = ax^{p}[/latex] where [latex]p[/latex] is any real number. Now we are going to turn our attention, in Section 5.2, to a group of functions where the variable is in the exponent, rather than the base. Before we move on to this new group of functions we will start the chapter with a discuss of how to undo the processes of the functions we covered in Chapters 1 through 3.
