Monica Smith Hart, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of English at West Texas A&M University. Her research interests include working-class poetry, feminist theory, digital humanities, and the Gothic. She has published essays on the late eighteenth-century poet Ann Yearsley, the Romantic writer Charlotte Smith, the Victorian working-class poet Ellen Johnston, and the American novelist Kate Chopin, in venues including Teaching Laboring-Class British Literature of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries (MLA Press), Partial Answers: Journal of Literature and the History of Ideas, Victorian Poetry, and The Explicator. Dr. Hart holds a B.F.A. in theatrical performance from Auburn University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Georgia. She is a publishing poet, a licensed preacher in the Episcopal Diocese of Northwest Texas, and a postulant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church. - Caitlin Bartz is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her interests include all forms of poetry, medieval Welsh literature, and queer studies. She earned a B.A. in English from West Texas A&M University. In this project, she served as editor for Ellen Johnston’s “The Last Sark.”
- Lauren Blashill is an undergraduate General Studies student at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include English studies with an emphasis on becoming an English teacher. In this project, she served as editor for Amy Levy’s “Xantippe: A Fragment.”
- Rebekah Chavez is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include in folklore, horror in film and media, gender studies, and queer theory. She earned a B.A. in English from West Texas A&M University. In this project, she served as editor for Emily Brontë’s “To Imagination.”
- Janelle Gumfory is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include Classic Literature, Medieval literature, and Shakespeare. She holds a B.A. in Digital Media and Professional Communications from Texas Tech University. In this anthology, she edited Augusta Webster’s “Circe.”

- Morgan Henrichson is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include gender studies, Marxist theory, and American literature. - Jaydn Jeffries is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University with academic interests in American regionalism, gender, and ecoregionalism as it pertains to the West. She holds a B.F.A. in English from West Texas A&M University. In this anthology, she served as editor for Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s “Mother and Poet.”
- Kai Jenkins is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include Greek mythology, the Bible, and queer literature. She earned a B.A. in English from West Texas A&M University. In this project, she served as editor for Felicia Hemans’ “The Last Song Of Sappho.”
- Mary Tran is a returning undergraduate student at West Texas A&M University. Her strong interest is classic literature and is working toward a BA in English. In this this project, she “served as editor for Elizabeth B Browning’s “Cry of the Children.”
- Claire Meyer is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include modernist literature, film and media studies, with a particular interest in horror. She holds a B.A. in Creative Media Industries from Texas Tech University and has published creative work in several university journals. In this anthology, she served as editor for “ ‘Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came’.”
- Melenna Montgomery is a graduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. Her academic interests include Victorian poetry, Southwest literature, and gender studies. She earned a B.A. in English from Texas Tech University. In this project, she served as editor for Robert Browning’s “My Last Duchess.”
- Quentin Read is an undergraduate student in English at West Texas A&M University. His academic interests include poetry and the historical context behind literature. In this project, he served as editor for Rabindranath Tagore’s “Gitanjali 35.”
