An adaptation of Precalculus by Carl Stitz and Jeff Zeager for Functions, Trigonometry, and Systems of Equations at Texas A&M University. The text begins with a review of high school algebra. The properties of functions is developed in Chapter 1. In Chapters 2 through 4 we explore the algebraic functions of polynomials, rationals, powers, and roots. Chapter 5 introduces the transcendental functions of exponentials and logarithms. Solving systems of linear and nonlinear equations is discussed in Chapter 6. Chapters 7 and 8 add trigonometry and circular functions to the students. The text ends with a discussion on vectors and vector operations.
