Chapter 1 Properties of General Functions

In order to adequately prepare for more complex topics, it is important for the reader to have a deep, foundational understanding of functions and properties therein. In this chapter, we will study functions: what differentiates a function from a relation, how do functions interact with each other, and how do function compositions impact their graphs? We will begin with a basic understanding of the Cartesian Plane and will turn our attention to linear and absolute value functions before introducing other higher-degree functions in Chapter 2.
